An "Awesome" Blogsome, and My Challenge To You!

I have my done my share of creating names for products, properties, and even streets in new communities. But something hit me the other day after hearing a certain adjective eight times in less than 10 minutes. It compelled me to come up with a new term for the way-over-used descriptor blurted by young and old alike. That word? AWESOME. In past years, (and sometimes we still use the old standbys) cool, ÒneatÓ, outta-sight, even bitchin was used to describe the greatness of something. Like rapp music, the word continues to wander like a zombie through our verbal void. People seem to listen to rapp, because they think it will make them cool. Does anyone really like crap? Whoops, I mean rapp? Do people who continue to use the word awesome as their only descriptor of something cool - have any idea how many times they use the word? And to keep things a little more interesting (or at least show they have some semblence of intelligence) that there are other words they could use to describe something really impressive? Awesome is used to describe everything from a magnificent sunset to the sounds of farts emanating from an App on an iPhone. SO HERE IS MY CHALLENGE TO YOU!!! Let's come up with a totally new word to replace AWESOME. Maybe we can replace this tired vanilla-ized adjective, and start a new trend. Some suggestions that popped into my brainpan include: Wow, that was totally DOWNLOADABLE! ----OR--- how about: That was one MASSIVE sunset. That ice cream was ATOMIC. Some other made up adjectives to replace awesome, include: MAXIMONIOUS É SALIVACIOUS É CREAMULOUS É BLOGULOUS É PAVLOVIAN. Anyhoo - you get the idea. Let's replace Awesome with something a bit more - well, for lack of a better term, AWESOME. Yuk Yuk. Hope to hear your suggestions soon. J ###
